Mr B. N. Kalyani

Mr B N Kalyani, Chairman of the USD 2.5 Billion, Kalyani Group is the principal driving force behind the growth and success of the Kalyani Group of Companies.

An able entrepreneur and technocrat, Mr Kalyani has enriched the group with his vision of sound business governance and value have driven management practices. He is the driving force behind the group’s spirit and commitment to deliver products and services of uncompromising quality and integrity consistent with the Kalyani brand and image.

In pursuance of his vision to contribute to a clean and emission-free environment, the group has set up a wind energy company – KENERSYS to manufacture various energy efficient wind turbines for domestic and international markets. The group also has its own wind turbines in Maharashtra which generate “green energy” for the group’s manufacturing operations.

Mr Kalyani takes pride in being at the forefront of a globalizing India and to contribute in making “Made in India” a global high tech brand in the manufacturing industry.

Ken Eldred

Ken has founded many successful companies including Ariba Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARBA) the leader in the internet Business-to-Business industry, reaching a market valuation as high as $40 Billion. He was also the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Inmac, a company which he took Public in 1986 and grew to $400 million in yearly revenues. Inmac was the first business to sell computer related products and accessories by direct mail and was later merged with MicroWarehouse.

In 1988, the Institute of American Entrepreneurs named Ken Eldred “Retail Entrepreneur of the Year”, for the San Francisco Bay Area. He is also past member of the Young President’s Organization. Moreover, in 2000 Ken was politically involved in serving the Finance Committee for the George W. Bush Campaign. Ken has a track record of over 30 years in customer services and is currently also the Chairman of Advisory Board of Parakletos@Ventures.

Amit Kalyani

Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University, Pennsylvania, US.

While he is involved in the company’s strategic planning and global business development initiatives, Mr Amit Kalyani also takes care of the overall group strategy; and is responsible for the expansion of its steel business as well as driving the infrastructure business foray of the group.

Pravin Gandhi

A pioneer in the IT industry (30 years experience) and an active private equity investor in the technology sector in India. He co-founded the Hinditron Group of companies (India’s first IT Company) which merged with Digital in 1988 (now HP).

Pravin serves on the board of several public and private corporates in India. He was the President and is the Trustee of TiE Mumbai. He was also the President of the Manufacturers Association of Information Technology, (an IT manufactures association in India), and a former member of the NASSCOM Executive Council.

Management & Executive team

Rajesh (Raj) Thankappan

BPO visionary involved in the industry from its inception; with a proven ability to create persuasive total value propositions by leveraging expertise in transaction management, risk analysis, mitigation and operational optimization. He has over 15 years of experience in managing people, projects and operations in Asia, Europe and North America across financial services, technology consulting and manufacturing industries.

Masters in Engineering and Management of Technology, and a B.S. in Mechanical and Material Science Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. He was the Senior Vice President at Providian Financial Corporation, a Fortune 500 Company. Built Providian’s wholly owned subsidiary in India and was responsible for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Corporate Vendor Management (CVM). Outsourced over 2500 FTE of work to global vendors with onshore and offshore operations, including, customer service, telemarketing, collections, IT and BPO. Prior to joining Providian in 1999, he spent six years with General Electric, where his work ranged from product development to customer consulting in Europe and Japan.

Highly experienced in using Six Sigma methodology to re-engineer processes at Providian and GE. He positioned Epicenter to lead the market by improving service levels significantly above the rest of the field.

mrs manjari sabnis

Manjari Sabnis

Joined Epicenter in June 2008 and heads the Finance and BPRMS (Business Process Risk Management Systems) functions of the Company and is a Chartered Accountant by qualification with a software diploma from NIIT.

She has over 15 years multi-disciplinary experience in the field of Corporate Finance, Financial Accounting and Costing & Management Information Systems.

Manjari has had successful stints in reputed organizations like the diversified ‘Aarti’ group and Kotak Mahindra in the past.

Mr Altaf Sayed

Altaf Sayed
VP – Sales & Solutions

Altaf has been with Epicenter for over 15 years and has been handling a variety of responsibilities, right from heading the domestic operations group, support functions of HR, Admin and WFM.

He hails from an engineering background, having completed his diploma in Electrical Engineering and BE in Electronics and Power

As a leader in providing strategic support in his diversified role and leading a 500+ FTE team, Altaf has an extensive background in training and development, operations and managing corporate support functions through his tenure at Epicenter.

Mr Sahir Sekhon

Sahir Sekhon
VP – Delivery & Asst. to CEO

Sahir leads all of the international & domestic operations – voice and back office as well as business development efforts at Epicenter. In addition to this, he also manages the CEO’s office as the Executive Assistant to Rajesh Thankappan

Sahir has been with Epicenter for over the last 14 years and has managed versatile roles in operations, quality assurance, corporate strategy, business development and administration during his tenure with Epicenter. Managing internal and external Customer SLA’s and top line margin based growth are some of his key responsibilities.

A graduate in Science and a Masters in Business Administration in Financial Management, through a Six Sigma process-oriented execution, focused delivery methodology; Sahir has been able to successfully lead large operation teams, as well as lead the business development and transition function for the enterprise through his stint at Epicenter.

Mr Pravin Thombare

Pravin Thombare
VP – Technology

He currently heads the Technology department at Epicenter and has been associated with Epicenter over the last 8 years. He has expertise in Technology Operations, Architecture & Planning and Project Management.

Pravin has been responsible for service delivery for multiple international and domestic clients at Epicenter achieving tremendous success in meeting and exceeding customer SLAs, through our methodology of operational excellence and process re-engineering.

His experience is enhanced by his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and ITIL certification.

As the Head of Technology, Pravin is responsible for overall leadership of the Technology department and Support staff and leads our efforts in following areas:

  • 24 x 7 Technology Operations (ITSM)
  • Project Management
  • Evaluation, Design and Implement new Technologies.
  • Technology Governance
  • Adherence to PCI, ISO and ITIL Processes
